We built this IP65 waterproof electric heater for one reason: to take a cold, damp space and make it warm again—fast. Power, voltage, and speed—without the fuss
This is an infrared heater, designed to jump to life and stay steady. It throws off radiant heat, so it warms people and objects directly instead of trying to heat the whole air. That means warm-up time drops compared to convection systems. It’s built to work with industrial electrical setups, including 400V, so you can match the input to your supply. High voltage packs more wattage into a compact tube, giving you the intensity needed to fight drafts and cold surfaces. And the footprint stays small, so you can stack serious output into tight ceiling or wall spots. One thing to keep in mind: high power density means you need to manage the local temperature. Pair your control strategy and ventilation to the output, so the components stay within their thermal limits.
The guts: quartz, coating, and a connector that makes sense
We use a quartz envelope because it handles thermal shock and keeps output stable, even with frequent on/off cycles. Inside, halogen elements hold the filament temperature steady, so the infrared output stays consistent over the life of the unit. A protective coating on the tube face helps cut down on surface contamination and boosts resistance to moisture and chemicals. For installation, we went with an R7s connector. It’s a practical, industry-standard choice that makes this heater a straightforward drop-in replacement and keeps wiring simpler, even in tight enclosures.
