Why a straight lamp usually fails
Here’s the thing: a standard straight IR lamp often just misses the mark when you’re working with glass. Borosilicate is picky. If the heat isn’t perfectly uniform, you get thermal shock, and then you get cracks. By bending the lamps into a specific radius, we basically wrap the heat around your workpiece. It gets the heat source closer to the glass, which means you stop wasting energy and start getting better results. We handle the bending. We handle the mounting. You just get a module that drops right into your machine. No more asking your team to manually bend tubes or scramble to fabricate custom brackets on the shop floor.
The balancing act
When we’re designing these, it’s all about the trade-off between power and the limits of the glass. Short-wave lamps with high wattage are great for fast cycles because they ramp up quickly. But there’s a catch. If you cram too much power into a tight curve, you get hotspots. And hotspots kill borosilicate. We spend the time calibrating the spacing and voltage so the heat stays steady across the entire arc. It’s a bit of a science, but it saves you a lot of scrap.
Less wiring, more breathing room
Let’s be honest: wiring up individual lamps is a total time sink. It’s tedious work. Our modules come pre-wired and tested. You don’t have to stress about whether the connectors fit or worry about a fragile lead snapping while you’re installing it. You plug it in, and it works. Instead of spending days on a stressful integration project, you’re looking at a few hours of simple mechanical mounting.
